[Public to the (Waking) Barge]
[Duke stands on Level 8, looking uncharacteristically frustrated. In his right hand is a crowbar lifted from his own cabin, which also showed no signs of waking life, and behind him is the door to the engine room, firmly closed.]
So, what do we do when the engine room door is sealed? Not locked. It's sealed, I can't pry it open. Does anyone have a blowtorch or a Sawzall? Or is Na- [No, that's a stupid idea.]
Look, are there any other ways to get into the engine room? A utility shaft or something? The more I look at it the more this seems like a malfunction, and I think if we don't get in there the rest of the Barge might not wake up.

Date: 2014-03-13 05:57 pm (UTC)That could be a problem.
We're not stuck on anything. We're just out in space. Floating.
Also there may be a slightly smaller problem than what we're facing now.

Date: 2014-03-13 06:02 pm (UTC)Some of these rooms smell...really, really bad.
I may or may not be leading a pack of formally trained dogs around.

Date: 2014-03-13 06:27 pm (UTC)I'm usually not the sort of person who wakes other people up.

Date: 2014-03-13 07:30 pm (UTC)There's shafts but none of 'em went near the engine room last time. They shift, anyway. We might 'ave to blow the door off. Anyone seen Babs?

Date: 2014-03-13 08:07 pm (UTC)The only other alternative I can think of is find out who's in there and use their communicator to contact them. But that depends on them be a) sensible and conscious and b) having their communicator.

Date: 2014-03-13 08:15 pm (UTC)Considering where we've just been, I've got a good guess who's in there. But 'e might not be in any state 'e can talk to us in, never mind willing to listen.
I should've known.

Right now we need to get to him.

Of course I would, that's why 'e didn't let me find out. This could get nasty, Wynter love.
