It's a long pan - the library has no shortage] I've got to narrow my options. Wyverns, thunderbirds, or amphisbaenas? There's actual footage of those.

[The real reason he'd gone to the library wasn't for entertainment, however. The morning announcement had caught him while he was getting dressed and by the time he'd finished buttoning his shirt a file had appeared on his table. He'd read through it, a frown on his face progressively deepening as it described the treatment she'd gone through. Then he'd picked up the discs with her recorded interview sessions from the Academy, stuffed his laptop and journal into his bag, and headed to the library to commandeer a reading room.
There were 419 of the sessions, approximately three weekly, and watching them took up most of the day. He made notes in the Crocker journal, documenting River's deteriorating mental state and jotting ideas for anything that might help her. When he started in on the 63rd session he glanced down at the page and noticed a sentence printed at the bottom he knew he hadn't written:
Location: 2nd Level common room, couch.
Without even bothering to pause the video he shoved the laptop and file back into his bag, tucked the journal under his arm, and made his way to the second level. Once in the common room she was nowhere in sight until he peered behind the couch and spotted a mass of arms and skirts and hair. He sat down on the floor and rested his cheek against the wall.]
